Life is full of surprises

Birds……hold a fascination, effortlessly flying through the air, gliding over water, perching on small branches, their heads moving to enquire. Light hopping movements or striding with pride investigating and always searching for sustenance, nesting materials, safety with birdsong sweet, loud and vibrant. In Australia birds and fowl of all kind are blessed with abundant habitat, migrating and moving between land far and wide. Masked Wood Swallow, Spangled Drongo, Indonesian pigeon, Willy Wagtail, Peewee, Noisy Minor, Crows, Magpie, Kookaburra, Cuckoo Shrike, Bush Turkey, Parrots all visit my backyard. Their effortless movements are a marvel and balancing skills an envious dream. I’m glad they are visitors.

My Wednesday night radio show features songs about birds. Thankyou to my craft group friends for their suggestions, they are a great bunch of birds. Nelly Furtado sings I’m Like a Bird, Rockin Robin from a young Michael Jackson and lots of surprises.

Not sure who will be the special guest on the show, I’m sure someone will come up with the goods.
