Geoff Wilkinson is a former Melbourne crime reporter and the man responsible for bringing the Crime Stoppers program to Australia, but then things started getting shaky.
He was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease a decade ago and has since undergone a procedure called Deep Brain Stimulation. A process done while the patient is awake where holes are drilled into the skull and electrodes inserted.
Geoff was awarded an OAM in 2008 for his services to the community and is currently writing his debut True Crime novel.
A Walk in the Park for Parkinson’s is on Sunday 26th August across Victoria.
