Auditor General releases report on WA’s Transition to the NDIS

The Western Australia Auditor General has submitted a report to Parliament based on an audit of WA’s transition to the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) (the Report).  The Report provides an assessment of the effectiveness and efficiency of the NDIS transition as well as identifying opportunities for improved performance. At the time of the Report, WA is in the third year of a 6-year transition.

The audit assessed whether the Departments of Communities, the Premier and Cabinet, and Treasury (entities) are effectively preparing WA to move onto the NDIS. This early implementation review sought to find out whether entities are set up and on target to achieve a successful move to the NDIS and whether they are proactively managing the risks to WA in moving to the NDIS.
