Great news for a wide range of Australians, Bauerfeind is now a registered NDIS service provider. This means that any NDIS participant can now access our range of German-engineered compression garments, braces, supports and insoles. Find out how our products can help you find pain relief and comfort, all day every day.

How the NDIS supports Australians

Any Australian resident who has a permanent and significant disability, or who needs support to ensure they’re okay for the future, will likely be eligible for NDIS support. The service provides access to a wide range of resources which assist with daily life while empowering people with disabilities to live more independent and enriching lives.

There are an estimated 4.3 million people in Australia with a disability, with approximately 500,000 of them currently on the NDIS. Among the range of services that the NDIS provide, braces, supports, compression garments and insoles all are covered under the plan system to assist people directly and indirectly.

Bauerfeind and the NDIS

Established in 1929, Bauerfeind is a world-leader in supports, compression and insoles, and we have been providing assistance and therapy to the disablility community in Germany and across the world for decades.

Our passion is to provide motion, mobility and relief to people from all walks (and wheels) of life. While there are a multitude of different ways we can help, here are three particular ways in which Bauerfeind can help support you with your NDIS plan.

We’re here to collaborate

Both overseas and in Australia, Bauerfeind has a rich history of working alongside clinicians, therapists, doctors and other healthcare workers in providing the best solution to each patient. Our key focus is finding the right product which not only services the medical need of the patient, but also their lifestyle.

Whether you’re NDIS-managed, self-managed, have a plan manager helping you out, or are working alongside your therapist – we’re here to help you and we can provide advice and recommendations on the right product for your needs.

Quality, comfortable, handmade products

We are proud of the level of care which goes into creating every Bauerfeind product. Designed by world-leading doctors and engineers, and based on years of scientific research, each piece is subject to rigorous testing and quality control checks. Every item is crafted using the highest quality materials with extreme attention to detail.

Quality provides you with the assurance that the product is not only durable, but that it is also extremely comfortable. Under the NDIS plan, you get access to these supports to ensure you’ve got the very best available to help you focus on the things that matter.

Access to expert fitting and customer service

Bauerfeind Australia staff complete regular training with colleagues from the Bauerfeind Academy in Germany, which is one of the world-leading institutes on bracing, compression and insoles.

Our staff are available to work with NDIS participants in our Sydney flagship store, over the phone (1300 668 466) or via a video consultation, to ensure we provide the best service possible and allow people with disability to reach their goals and aspirations.

By focusing on client interaction, we can ensure that our supports are not only targeting and treating the specific condition but that they are comfortable and compliant with the client’s lifestyle. We’re also on hand for follow-up adjustments and product questions.

Whether you’re a therapist, plan manager or a patient, we’d love you to get in touch and we can talk to you about what we can do to help you out.

Book Video Call, or call us on 1300 668 466.

They Call me Shuffles

A diagnosis with Parkinson's changes a lot of things: Motor function, non-motor functions, but maybe even more powerful is the changes in social interactions. I personally don't mind being called "Shuffles" now, I did at first (8 or so years ago I think), I...
