Australian Community Home Care is looking for a disability support workers to be part of people’s lives, professionally assisting them with a range of needs (role dependent) including but not limited to: movement, domestic duties, mealtime support, daily activities, medication administration and support with personal care. You will provide relief to operational sites across your allocated region to assist with shift coverage. Shift days/times will vary based on the allocated location in western Sydney.
* Genuine desire to provide the best quality support for people with disabilities.
* Reliable character.
* Well-developed communication (English) (Spanish will be plus point) and interpersonal skills including the ability to work and communicate effectively with clients, their families, community agencies, and other professionals.
* Ability to work in a very busy environment and to work both independently and as a part of a team.
* Understanding of privacy and confidentiality issues.
* Valid Driver’s License.(MANDATORY)
* Own transport (MANDATORY)
* A cleared Working with Children Check and National Criminal Record Clearance.

Desirable Criteria:
* Certificate III in Disability or other relevant qualifications or working towards obtaining qualification within 12 months.
* Experience in the delivery of personal care services and/or challenging behaviors is viewed favorably.
